Our Reading Plus Summer Challenge 2024 is here!
Regstrations open July 21st and ends August 23rd.
What is it?
We are challenging all students to read for pleasure during the school holidays. Whether this be on Reading Plus, a physical book, magazine, or comic – it all counts! The challenge is a great opportunity for students to enhance their reading skills and confidence and prevent the summer reading dip.
Three prizes are to be won, two are based on Reading Plus data, and the Bonus Challenge is based on students’ bingo skills!
Prizes
1) A trophy, a £100 book voucher and a certificate.
For the school with the most average reading lessons (based on Reading Plus data).
2) A trophy, the choice between a £100 book voucher or a pizza party for the class, and a certificate.
For the class with the most average reading lessons (based on Reading Plus data).
3) Bonus Challenge: Home Reading Champion.
The winning student will receive a £50 book voucher, a trophy, and a certificate.
Students are to test their bingo skills and participate in several mini-reading challenges outside of Reading Plus using the Bonus Challenge Bingo Resource.

Ask your students to return their completed worksheets during the first week of September. Teachers are to submit completed bingo sheets by uploading them here: Bingo submission

Reading Solutions UK, the home of Reading Plus, is challenging all students to read for pleasure during the school holidays. The challenge is a great opportunity for your child to enhance their reading skills and confidence and prevent the summer reading dip.
There are three prizes to be won, two are based on Reading Plus data, and the Bonus Challenge is based on using a physical book, magazine, or comic to test children’s bingo skills!

Children who return their completed Bingo Resource will be in for a chance to win a £50 Book Voucher, a trophy, and a certificate.
Using the Bonus Challenge Bingo Resource we sent home, children can participate in several mini-reading challenges outside the Reading Plus programme while testing their bingo skills.
Children must return their completed worksheets to school before Friday, 13th of September, 2024.
How to get involved
We would love you to encourage your child to read throughout the summer on Reading Plus. As a bonus, or if you are unable to access Reading Plus, an excellent way to engage your child is to take part in the Reading Plus Summer Challenge Bingo. Task your child to tick off all the activities before they return to school to be in with a chance of winning a prize.
Any material they can access at home or their local library will work.
