RSUK events wrap-up
At Reading Solutions UK, we have the opportunity to attend a range of events, from conferences, summits and workshops to awards evenings. These are great opportunities for us to talk with schools about their needs, learn from education experts, and spread the word about how Reading Plus can impact schools and students’ lives.
It is a fantastic experience to meet so many people, hear new and innovative ideas, and celebrate achievements within our sector. Building a strong community within education is fundamental based on listening, sharing knowledge, and providing support. We are all working toward the same vision – to help children develop their reading skills to improve their life chances and future successes. We believe working together and sharing knowledge is fundamental to helping children.
Read below for a wrap up of all the events we have had the pleasure of attending.

One of Clair’s many highlights of the event was attending the other outstanding speaker sessions from Mr Robert Lilley, who presented an overview of the new framework, Mr Luke Ramsden, who discussed safeguarding and actively promoting the wellbeing of pupils, and Wendy Martin, who explored harnessing pupil voice to promote your school to inspectors.

Connecting Educators Annual Summit hosted by the Association of Education Advisors
The summit’s vision to raise the quality of education advice for schools and colleges to improve children’s outcomes aligns closely with our ethos. We were delighted to sponsor this event for the second year.
Helping children develop their reading skills to improve their life chances is something we take pride in. Ian and Jonny were thrilled to share the day with educators and like-minded peers who share the same vision. They both praised the summit as an outstanding event organised by a great organisation.
Ian and Jonny’s highlights were watching speaker and Chair of AoEA Les Walton CBE and keynote speaker Dame Alison Peacock, the Chair of the Chartered College of Teaching, and speaking with schools nationwide.

We were delighted to participate in this event. Clair was thankful for the conversations she had with headteachers and grateful to learn more about the obstacles some schools face when it comes to reading developing and reading for pleasure.
