Before becoming a Reading Development Consultant at Reading Solutions UK, what did you do?

I spent almost nine years teaching English as a second language at a school in Taiwan. I worked with children from the ages of three to sixteen and helped them develop their grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, and introduced them to English literature and media.

What attracted you to the education sector?

Being able to directly influence a child’s education in a positive way and see their development over time. I particularly enjoyed seeing my students engage with other English speakers in a natural way.

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Enthusiastic. Curious. Empathetic.

Tell us more about your role at Reading Solutions UK?

When you are not working, what do you enjoy doing?

I enjoy reading, listening to music, and learning Chinese.

What piece of tech can you not live without and why?

I can’t live without my record player because listening to music is very important to me.

If you had a superpower, what would it be and why?

I’d like to be able to speak any language I was exposed to because I love travelling and having conversations with new people.
