What did you do before becoming a member of our Licence Support Team?
- I worked as a bartender and masterclass host at revolution Newcastle. Before that, I worked in kitchen sales at IKEA, selling appliances, custom worktops and more.
- I completed a degree in photography at Newcastle college.
What attracted you to the education sector?
What attracted me to the education sector was being able to make a difference to the children and the feeling of job satisfaction. I have always loved school, and I know that I would have thrived if I had a software like Reading Plus, so it feels good to be part of this now.
Describe yourself in three words.
- Funny – I have a great sense of humour and love to make people smile.
- Outgoing – there is not a lot I will shy away from, and I love meeting new people.
- Ambitious – I love a challenge, and I’m determined. When I’m focused on something, I won’t stop until I achieve it.
When you are not working, what do you enjoy doing?
I love playing guitar and singing. I also love socialising with friends and shopping. I enjoy travelling and taking a couple of solo trips abroad.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Take every opportunity you are given and don’t stress over anything you have no control over. Enjoy being young.
What was your favourite childhood book?
My favourite childhood book was the Hunger Games Series by Suzanne Collins. They had me hooked!
What piece of tech can you not live without and why?
Probably my phone, as it’s how I get in contact with my family and friends and being part of the digital generation means I need my socials, haha!
If you had a superpower, what would it be and why?
My superpower would be to teleport. To take myself anywhere I want to be immediately and never have to wait in traffic again!
