As a member of the Customer Support Team, Rebecca provides free, bespoke, ongoing training and support to our partner schools to ensure they get the most impact out of Reading Plus.

When your school purchases a Reading Plus licence, you gain the support of our Customer Support Team, entering into a partnership with our team of dedicated professionals who are committed to ensuring you get the most out of the programme throughout your contract with us.

They’ll help you implement the programme in your school, provide tailored ongoing support, training, and pedagogic advice – and be on hand during school hours to answer any questions.

What attracted you to the education sector?

From a young age, I have always shown an interest in and developed a passion for the Education sector. I studied BA(Hons) Childhood Studies and Early Years at University but have since waited for the right opportunity to come my way after learning a role in the classroom was not for me.

I have always had a passion and found enjoyment in making a difference in the lives of children, whether that be providing engaging supply staff or a reading programme to improve children’s reading. I believe reading is a basic skill that opens the door to imagination knowledge and supports mental health, something I want to be a part of.

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

  • Energetic
  • Dedicated
  • Positive

Tell us more about your role at Reading Solutions UK.

At Reading Solutions, I work with the Customer Support Team, supporting schools with queries and questions and encouraging and guiding their school to success. I do this by offering training calls, ensuring teachers know how to not only navigate the programme but utilize it in the classroom whilst maintaining pupil motivation.

What do you enjoy most about working in the Customer Support Team?

I enjoy knowing that, at the end of the day, I have made a difference. No matter how big or small, I have contributed to a child’s learning journey, which they will take into their adult lives

When you are not working, what do you enjoy doing?

When I’m not at work, I spend time with my family, taking us to the beach and embracing the outdoors.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Stop overthinking and comparing yourself to others. Try not to measure success based on social media likes

What was your favourite childhood book?

Many of the Jaqueline Wilson books!

What piece of tech can you not live without and why?

I couldn’t live without my phone; I check up on my little girl at nursery and store millions of photos and memories.

If you had a superpower, what would it be and why?

I would love to teleport, click my heels and poof! In the Maldives….No more traffic!
