When your school purchases a Reading Plus licence, you gain the support of our Customer Support Team, entering into a partnership with our team of dedicated professionals who are committed to ensuring you get the most out of the programme throughout your contract with us.
They’ll help you implement the programme in your school, provide tailored ongoing support, training, and pedagogic advice – and be on hand during school hours to answer any questions.
Tell us more about your role at Reading Solutions UK?
My role within the company is part of the Reading Solutions support team. We are a small team of 5 at the moment, soon to be 6, and apart from myself, it is all ladies. We provide support to schools and teachers who require training on our programme. This could be either over the phone or online via Zoom or Teams, which does keep the team busy. There is also a lot of admin work behind the scenes, for example, keeping all school records up to date, making sure student data is correct and more.
What do you enjoy most about working in the Customer Support Team?
The main thing for me is our team. We do have a great set of people in our team, and everybody is fully supportive of one another. If one of us needs help, all of us are there to help.
How would you describe yourself in 3 words and why?
- Dad.
- Son.
- Peacekeeper.
Having 3 children to keep an eye on is really challenging, but family means everything to me.
When you are not working, what do you enjoy doing?
In my spare time, I like to produce my own music. I am also a practising DJ, but I am now starting to get my own gigs, which is amazing. Hard work pays off, indeed!
What advice would you give to your younger self?
You can be anything you want to be if you work hard. This is what I also tell my children. And treat others the way you want to be treated.
What was your favourite childhood book?
Fantastic Mr Fox.
What piece of tech can you not live without and why?
My music production equipment; without this, there is no music being made.
If you had a superpower, what would it be and why?
I would love to be able to fly like Superman.
