Meet Michael Walker, our Managing Director at Reading Solutions UK.
What did you do before you became Managing Director at Reading Solutions UK?
I have 30 years of experience in the education sector, 10 of those as a teacher in primary, middle and secondary schools.
When I left teaching, I continued to work in the sector for private companies involved in education and new and emerging technologies. During this time, I’ve developed educational websites, scripted and produced television programmes for teachers on best practices and worked on the implementation of VLE’s.
Prior to founding Reading Solutions UK in 2014 I spent 9 years promoting phonics software, knowledge from which I brought with me to help children to help realise their potential through Reading Plus.
What attracted you to the education sector?
The ability to make a real difference.
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Tell us more about your role at Reading Solutions UK?

What do you enjoy most about your role?
The people I work with. We have got a fantastic, dedicated team who are passionate about what they do.
When you are not working, what do you enjoy doing?
Out riding my bike. It gives me time to think and decompress.
What advice would you give to your younger self?

If you had a superpower, what would it be and why?
