Win Reading Plus

To be in with a chance of winning the online reading development programme, Reading Plus, students must submit a six or eight-box storyboard design (we have printable storyboard templates in the resources section below) based on either the KS2 or KS3/4 synopsis.

If storyboards are entered by a parent, carer, or guardian, they must have confirmation from the child's school that they would be willing to receive the prize if they win the competition.

This competition is open to non-Reading Plus user schools only.

KS2 Synopsis and Storyboard

KS2 Synopsis

One Easter Sunday, in a world controlled by a dangerous man that had been destroyed by an apocalypse, a group of children are resolved to defeat the ruler Tentra and take back the power. Rumour has it that a golden egg was hidden somewhere in the ruins of their once-thriving city, and those who had it, could gain control. The children decide to go on an Easter egg hunt, determined to find the golden egg and save their city. This would be an Easter to remember….

KS3/4 Synopsis and Storyboard

KS3/4 Synopsis

It was Easter Sunday, and the world was a desolate wasteland. A deadly fungus had spread across the globe killing most of the population. But, despite the grim circumstances, a group of young survivors fought on against The Searchers – a group of ex-military leaders who controlled all food and water. Like most of the population, the townspeople of Halviar were low on supplies, and so they entered the annual Easter egg hunt to win golden eggs that can be traded…but at what cost?
